Roof Inspection

man installing a roof
A necessary part of any roofing system is to have regular inspections done. While the average person may not schedule an inspection until they notice that something is going on, the smarter person will schedule routine inspections to prevent anything from happening. We are happy to provide low cost, routine roofing inspections for you. In this process we will check your entire roofing system to make sure that the structural integrity is be upheld and that your roof is able to perform the tasks that it should be.

When to Schedule
There are three great times to schedule roofing inspections. The first time to schedule is after a storm rolls through. If you think your roof may have been battered by excess wind or heavy rainfall, it’s always best to be more safe than sorry. The second time to schedule is if you visibly notice that something is going on with your roof. If you have leaks inside or notice broken shingles, let us know. The third time to schedule is during the fall and right before colder winter months. This will ensure that your roof will keep you warm and protected during harsher temperatures.

Owner Vs. Professional Inspection
Owner inspections are something that should be done regularly, as is. It is a good idea to get in to the habit of making a visual inspection of your roof, on a regular basis. You may be able to spot things like loose or missing shingles or water not draining properly. However, a professional inspection should also be conducted regularly, as we will check for things that you probably cannot. We will not only check your shingles, but we will also check underneath of them to make sure that your roof is in perfect working order.

What is Inspected
When we come out to do a professional inspection, there are several things that we will check for. The more obvious things we are on the lookout for are broken or missing shingles, damage caused from debris and growth on your shingles. Beyond these things, we are also checking your structural integrity; making sure that your roof is even and not sagging in certain places. We will also do an interior inspection; making sure that any internal leaks haven’t completely ruined structural integrity. And, we will do a workmanship inspection, making sure that your roof was installed correctly in the first place and fixing it if it wasn’t.

Detailed Analysis
After we have had the chance to inspect your entire roofing system, we will give you a detailed analysis of everything we have found. This report isn’t meant to scare you, but we feel it is our duty to point out everything that is going on and let you know exactly what needs to be done to fix these issues. If repairs are deemed to be necessary, it is up to you as to when to have them completed, but we always recommend doing them as soon as possible.
